Just opened in nearby Ffos-y-ffin, Cardigan is the
Ar y Bel soft play
centre, the largest in the county. We can confirm it is a fabulous
destination for any children up to around 14. A real saviour on
a rainy day. Plenty of parking, excellent catering, a huge play
area (they even let dads on with children) and Wifi.

New
Quay music festival announces Carol Decker
of T'Pau as headliner. Coastal Cardigan town of New Quay is to run
the New Quay music festival from 2 August to 4 August 2013. A range
of acts includes T'Pau, Eagles tribute band plus dance music acts.
Ceredigion now has four
Walkers are Welcome groups. The Llandysul, Tregaron,
Devils Bridge and New Quay groups have recently formed a new
group to enable the sharing of ideas and experiences gained by each

Olympic torch comes through Llanarth: on
27 May 2012 the Olympic torch came past the back garden of Pine
Grove holiday cottage near New Quay, Cardigan Bay. If you want to

New Quay top and bottom of beach league: The
Marine Conservation Society has awarded New Quay Harbour Beach in
west Wales its highest Recommended award for water quality. However,
it has given the North Beach its lowest Fail award. Cei Bach beach
just minutes from Ger-y-llethi holiday cottage received a Basic
Pass.

North Wales is to host the Wales
True Taste food & drink awards 2011-12. The 10th annual
Wales the True Taste Food and Drink Awards will this year be held
in North Wales on Thursday October 20th. The ceremony will take
place at Venue Cymru in Llandudno.
Free food and drink festival taking place at Ty Glyn, Ciliau
Aeron 1 mile outside Aberaeron. The day will include meet-the-producer
exhibition including a demonstration by celebrity chef Dudley Newbery,
Sian Roberts talks about Welsh cuisine plus tastings of wine, chocolate

Llanerch Vineyard Ltd goes
into administration: the popular tourist destination is home
to one of Wales' most highly regarded restaurants and was even the
venue for a Visit Wales advert hosted by top Welsh comedian Rhod
Gilbert. Two poor harvests have led the owners to wind up the parent
company and vouchers bought are no longer being honoured.
Cardigan Quays Festival is hosting
the Shanty Burlesque Cabaret on Cardigan's Cambrian Quay on Friday
August 20. The following Saturday features a host of events easily
accessible from New Quay including a 25 foot head parading through
the town, boat races and rope making. Find out more at the festival

The new Robin Hood movie was
filmed just down the coast from Cardigan Cottages in New Quay. The
French invasion scene of the movie - that stars Russell Crowe -
was filmed in Pembrokeshire just on the south of Cardigan Bay

have had rave reviews recently in the The
Times, with particular praise for the Harbourmaster
restaurant and bar. If you plan to come down and do like a high
quality dining experience, book well in advance (whatever time of
year!) because it is incredibly popular.
One third of Brits are switching their
foreign holidays to 'staycations' according to the
The Times. And don't we just know it! Cardigan Cottages have
been booked out for summer even earlier this year and next summer's
